Fire District 7 is holding their annual Open House at Station 71 on Sunday. They'll have Vehicle Extrication Demonstrations, Puppet Shows, Sparky the Fire Robot, Topper the Arson Dog, and the Fire Safety Trailer. And of course fire trucks! What kid doesn't want a to see a fire truck!
We haven't been to one of these yet, but I think they kids are getting old enough to learn something and have some fun looking around. Maybe we'll see you there!

Did you also know that your local fire department will do a car seat safety check for you? This reminds me that I really need to set up an appointment to get the kids' seats checked out. I think Grady is already outgrowing his Convertible Seat! (How can that be? He isn't even forward facing yet! I wonder if they make a "husky boys" car seat?)
You can also set up group visits to the station or ask the firefighters to come visit your school or organization. One of the many things our lovely firefighters do, besides saving lives!
