Woodland Park Zoo: Bear Affair and Big Howl for Wolves

Find out what happens when you don't store food properly or leave garbage around your campsite or backyard at the Woodland Park Zoo on Saturday, June 9th. The zookeepers will set up a campsite and you can watch as the grizzly bear brothers tear into it. You can also learn all about how to properly bear-proof your backyard or campsite.

I'm putting this outing on my calendar for sure. We're planning on going camping with the kids this summer so it's probably a good idea to learn about these things. Plus, my husband has an unnatural fear of bears so I kind of want to see him get all nervous watching the bears tear up the campsite. He he!

Mom and Me at the Woodland Park Zoo

I don't know about you but I think all moms deserve a whole weekend of celebration! Here's one way to spend the day before Mother's Day - the 22nd Annual Mom and Me at Woodland Park Zoo. Woodland Park Zoo: Bunny Bounce April 7th

Hop, skip and jump to the 11th annual Bunny Bounce at Woodland Park Zoo. Fun for the whole family including egg hunts for ages 1-8 years, crafts, bunny encounters, and eggs-citing zoo programs throughout the day.

You can also watch the animals enjoy some Easter-themed treats throughout the day. All activities are free with zoo admission and free for zoo members.

Woodland Park Zoo: $10 Off Annual Zoo Membership

We love going to the zoo but it can get pricey if you go more than a couple times a year. So I was pretty excited when I found the $10 discount is available again. I waited too long last year and missed out on it. I'm not going to make that mistake again. I'm getting my membership now (and then crossing my fingers for a nice sunny day!).

Woodland Park Zoo: FREE Admission March 3rd

I was just thinking about taking the kids to the zoo and then this great freebie popped up! This Saturday the Woodland Park Zoo is celebrating Leap Day with lots of fun frog-themed crafts and special presentations. Kids age 3 - 12 can even get free admission with a paid adult if they dress frog-themed clothes or in green clothing. Heck, I'd dress in all green if I could get into the zoo for free. :)

Woodland Park Zoo: Hippo Weigh In Contest

It's time for the Woodland Park Zoo's hippos, 33-year-old Water Lily and 12-year-old Guadalupe, to hop on the scales for their weigh-in. You can guess their weight and win some big prizes!

Woodland Park Zoo: Winter Celebration Dec. 19th - 21st and 26th - 28th

If you're wondering what to do with your kids during the holiday break or where to take your out-of-town guests, head to the Woodland Park Zoo Winter Celebration and watch the animals enjoy some yummy holiday-themed treats. The animals will be treated to wreaths with assorted fruits and evergreen trees. The Winter Celebration will be held December 19th - 21st and 26th - 28th from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The celebration is free with admission or membership. Tickets are $11.50/adult, $8.50/child (3 - 12 years), and free for kids 2 and under.

Woodland Park Zoo: Turkey Toss
