Sparkly Popsicle Stick Frame

Ahhh... the wonders of popsicle sticks. It's amazing just how many things you can do with them.

While we were waiting for Finley's Auntie Ashley to arrive we decided to do a little craft. I needed something to distract her, otherwise she would have stood at the window for an hour and a half saying, "Is she her yet? Is she here yet?" So we pulled out our popsicle sticks and got to work!

Supplies:
  • 8 popsicle sticks
  • Glue
  • Hot glue gun (could just use craft glue, but the hot glue gun glue dries super fast)
  • Paint & paintbrush
  • Decorations (sequins, pompoms, etc.)
Glue 8 sticks together using the craft glue or hot glue gun. (Ooohhh, lookie there. That's Will Ferrell in the newspaper. Note to self - must watch the movie ELF soon.)

Let your little one get busy with the painting.

Then after the paint dries, put a few dabs of glue on the popsicle sticks and start adding that bling. Finley also painted the letter "F" from our popsicle stick letters activity, so we decorated that one, too.

Then you're left with a cute little frame (and an even cuter little girl, in my opinion anyway). We still need to print out a picture to put in it. I think I'll take a picture of Finley with her auntie and use one of those.

This would be a perfect Christmas gift for family members. It's fast and easy and fun for the kids!
