Woodland Park Zoo: Hippo Weigh In Contest

It's time for the Woodland Park Zoo's hippos, 33-year-old Water Lily and 12-year-old Guadalupe, to hop on the scales for their weigh-in. You can guess their weight and win some big prizes!

Turn it into a learning lesson for your kids. The zoo has a great page all about hippos to help you make an educated guess. Then put your math skills to work to come up with the winning weight. Look at all the great stuff you could win:

• a meet-n-greet with the Woodland Park Zoo's hippos behind the scenes in the hippo barn for a party of four
• a free 4-gallon bucket of Zoo Doo
• six single-day passes to the zoo
• a ZooParent hippo adoption with a hippo plush toy
