Kirkland Parkplace Cinema: Baby's Day at the Movies

Every other Friday Parkplace Cinema in Kirkland shows a variety of movies for moms and their babes. They turn the sound down a bit and turn the lights up a bit and you get to enjoy a new movie without having to worry about disturbing the other customers!

Lincoln Square Cinemas: Mother's Day Thursdays

Every Thursday at Lincoln Square Cinemas hosts a special movie session for parents and their infant children. Bring your stroller and watch a film with other parents and kids. The movies are presented with the lights turned up a bit and the sound turned down a bit. And they even have concession service right from your seat!

Lynnwood Hobby Lobby: Movie and a Craft

Have you been to the new Hobby Lobby in Lynnwood? I haven't dared to step foot in it just yet. Even with a handful of coupons I know it's just too dangerous!

But, I might have to stop by for one of these Movie and a Craft nights. This month the movie is Lady and the Tramp. Your kids can snack on some popcorn while watching the movie. And afterwards they can make a fun photo frame for their favorite pet. Hobby Lobby provides the popcorn and all the supplies for the craft.

I'm hoping they have $0.99 movie deals throughout December like they did last year. They had lots of fun holiday movies and they are cheaper than Redbox. And the best part is you don't have to leave the comfort of your couch!

This would make a great Christmas gift for a spouse, friend, son, or daughter. I'm thinking of getting these as a gift for Finley. She hasn't officially been to her first movie yet.

Redbox Increasing Prices

Looks like Redbox is following in Netflix's footsteps and increasing their prices. On October 31st prices will go from $1.00 to $1.20 per DVD rental, an increase of 20%. (Blu-ray and games prices will not change.)

We quit cable almost 2 years ago and are now a Netflix family. We do use redbox on occasion (usually when I get a code for a free rental). It's not a huge increase so I'm sure we'll still pick up a movie once or twice a month. How about you? Do you use redbox instead of having cable or Netflix?

Google offers is offering a movie ticket through Fandango for only $5 (up to $13 value)! This might be the perfect opportunity to take your kid on a date to see The Lion King 3D.
