Free Passes to Local Museums Through KCLS

Did you know that the King County Library System has teamed up with Bellevue Arts Museum, KidsQuest Children's Museum, Museum of History and Industry, and the Washington State History Museum to offer free museum passes to the public. You can register for a free pass by going to this website. You can register up to two weeks before your planned visit. It looks like the passes to KidsQuest Museum are very popular so keep that in mind as you plan a free outing.

Get Crafty Saturdays at BAM: Clay Play

Get ready for another fun Crafty Saturday at the Bellevue Arts Museum. Spend the morning viewing the Push Play exhibition, then create a fun ceramic keepsake. Pick out a pre-fired vase and decorate! Experiment with different types of finishing materials to add color and flare. Each vase is pre-glazed on the inside so it will hold water and a pretty flower!

They can build walls and roofs using mat board and foam board, and a range of other things to "design" their space.

The Bellevue Arts Museum is hosting a few "Gingerbread Architecture" craft sessions during the month of December. They will provide the graham crackers, icing, and decorative items and your kids can build their sugary dream house.

Bellevue Arts Museum: Jingle Bell-evue Blvd

The Junior League of Seattle and the Bellevue Arts Museum are hosting a special holiday event this Sunday. Bring your family for a special performance of the Snowflake Lane toy soldier drum line, photo booth, craft stations, face painting, hot cocoa, cider and a snack bar.

This is great for the younger crowd that can't make it to the 7 p.m. Snowflake Lane show. If you can't make it to the event on Sunday, the same event will be held on December 11th and 18th.

The event is free but donations are appreciated and will benefit the Junior League of Seattle's non-profit community partners.

Here's another fun and free activity for the weekend. Bellevue Arts Museum is opening their doors for a Fall celebration. Learn about Dia de los Muertos, Halloween and get involved in some fun projects. This is a great way to see the museum and also enjoy some fun activities. And all for free! My kiddos aren't old enough for this one yet but I'm putting it on my calendar for 2014 when I can take them both!
