Lunar New Year Celebration at The Bellevue Collection

The Bellevue Collection and the Seattle Chapter of the Taiwan Benevolent Association of America are celebrating the 2012 Lunar New Year this Saturday, January 28th. There will be traditional and contemporary demonstrations including martial arts, traditional orchestra music, a dragon dance, Chinese opera, brush painting and calligraphy. The celebration is open to all ages and will feature activities for kids to participate in.

MLK Celebration at Crossroads Mall

Bellevue's annual MLK celebration will be held Monday, January 16th at Crossroads Mall. "The Celebration of a Dream - a Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr." will include live music, children's activities and a speech from former basketball player Zaid Abdul-Aziz. There will also be a health fair with representatives from nonprofit and social service agencies providing information about health issues and services in the community.
