Snohomish County YMCA's: Healthy Kids Day 4/28

The five Snohomish County YMCA family branches will be celebrating Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 28th from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. This is a free community event with safety demonstrations, information on nutrition, fitness tests, bouncy houses, family games, free demonstrations, face painting, giveaways and more!

You can also sign up for a free 3-visit pass right now. Use it to check out the gym or try out a Tot Time class.

Snohomish County YMCA's: Free 3-Visit Guest Pass

Head to the Snohomish County YMCA website and sign up to get a free Guest Pass for 3 visits. Then print out a coupon to take to the YMCA and you'll get 3 free passes. Use them to take your kids to Tot Time at the Mukilteo YMCA or Play Time at the Mill Creek YMCA. Or take a break from the kids and try out a group fitness class or do a little cardio on the treadmill.

Mill Creek YMCA: Afternoon Out

Do you need a few hours to get some kid-free errands done? Or an afternoon date with your hubby? Let your kids play at the Mill Creek YMCA while you get a little time to yourself. Your kids will spend the afternoon making themed crafts, playing active games and enjoying a healthy snack.

Mill Creek YMCA: Kids Night Out

Let the Mill Creek YMCA do the hard work entertaining your kids while you enjoy a night off! Your kids will have lots of activities to choose from - playgroup games in the gym and Adventure Zone, creating crafts, dressing up for the monthly theme, and enjoying some yummy snacks. Kids Night Out is held the third Saturday of every month from 5:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Mill Creek YMCA: Play Time

The Mill Creek YMCA holds an indoor Play Time for kids age 18 months to 5 years every Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Like the Mukilteo YMCA Tot Time, this is adult supervised play time. It's your time to have some fun running around with your kids. It's free for members and $15 for non-members. (I want to check to see if this is for one session, in which case this is crazy expensive for an outing. But I guess if you want to make a day of it you could also take the kids swimming, too.)

Finley and I went to check it out this week. I finally managed to get to the YMCA for a workout and afterwards we headed to the gym for some play time. There were lots of hula hoops, balls, play tents, etc. But it's really not about the toys. It's all about the HUGE gym to run around in. I was even having fun running around in such a big space.

I couldn't get Finley to stop long enough to take a picture. That's a sign of a good time!
